First, the juicy bits on MGS4. Kojima, sadly, doesn't talk too much about the game (he actually states that the game's system hasn't been confirmed yet, which means this interview was conducted some time before E3's announcement of a PS3 release). He is willing to reveal that the game is set in the future. Players will be taken to places to which the series has never before gone, Kojima states, asking that fans use this "hint" to picture what will become of the game.

On Kojima Productions, Kojima reveals that the studio was formed on April 1 of this year following Konami's merging of Konami Computer Entertainment (KCE) Japan, KCE Tokyo and KCE Studio. Apparently, even with the new studio, not much has changed as far as development is concerned. Kojima states that ten people from all the way back when he was working on the classic Policenauts out of Kobe are still at his side.

The only change with the new setup is perhaps a good one. Kojima reveals that he no longer needs to handle business matters, which is something that occupied his time at KCE Japan where he served as a vice president. He comments that he'll now be able to give greater focus to creativity.

While Metal Gear Solid 4 will probably sit out the rest of E3, we wouldn't be surprised if Substance and Acid 2 showed up on the show floor.
