Mobile Suit Gundam for PS3

May 16, 2005 - Though the teaser was one of the shortest of Sony's E3 press event, the PlayStation 3 edition of Mobile Suit Gundam still showed that the upcoming next-gen console had plenty of processing power. In fact, the video of Gundam was so visually flawless, that we were left wondering if the images shown were created in-game or via pre-rendered CG. And to tell the truth, we still don't know the official answer.

Regardless of the response to our mystery, Bandai's upcoming robot game still showcased some interesting fodder for Kidou Senshi fans. Opening up with a sky rise view through a ruined building, the action pointed towards a giant enemy fire team as they approach a lone Mobile Suit. The warring sides immediately open fire on each other and machine parts start flying everywhere. After a brief skirmish, several more robots blast their way into the battle followed by a rolling tankbot and red artillery Gundam. And as the city around them falls into rubble, the Mobile Suit Gundam logo flashes on the screen ending the trailer altogether.

Hopefully, Bandai will reveal more on Mobile Suit Gundam at its booth on Wednesday once the show starts. We'll keep you updated on any progress and invite you to check out our media page for the first trailer and screenshots in the meantime.
